About Us
We are a father & Son guitar & vocal duo based in KZN & the Free State, South Africa. We perform a variety of musical styles with an acoustic approach at Weddings & Functions in the KZN Midlands area as well as at coffee shops, other small venues & music festivals in and around where we live.
Our Values
We take pleasure in producing 100% genuinely live music. Unlike most one or two-man bands these days, you will not be bombarded by loud backing tracks which practically drown out the efforts of the musician trying to play & sing along to the invisible band that accompanies him when you hear Toneles Duo. Everything you hear is being produced live by our guitars, vocals and feet stomping the ground.
Founders
Tony de Freitas has been playing the guitar and singing most of his life, from being in a popular high-school band "The Five Lords" with his brother Larry de Freitas, to being a guitar teacher, and now a well respected and seasoned musician. Lester de Freitas picked up the guitar around age 10 and, first being influenced by heavy rock, started to grow in appreciation for musical styles such as blues, acoustic and indie.

We are available for weddings, providing chilled, background music for your tasteful reception and entertainment for the guests as they wait for you to arrive. We can also up the volume and put on a bit of a show if the audience needs to have their attention grabbed a little.

Solo performances
Both Lester & Tony are available for hire as solo performers where necessary. Lester is available for hire in the Harrismith, Free State, area, as a completely acoustic act - great for smaller, quiet venues - while Tony is available in the Drummond, KZN, area.
